Palayesh Parsian Sepehr Gas Refining Company is recognized as one of the region’s most modern gas refineries. It was established in 2010 and commenced full operations in 2021. With two major operational sites in Mohr (Fars Province) and Assaluyeh (Bushehr Province), and employing advanced cryogenic technology, the complex processes millions of cubic meters of rich gas per day to produce high-value products such as ethane, propane, butane, and gas condensate.
The company’s feedstock is supplied from the Tabnak, Homa, Shanol, and Varavi gas fields. After processing, sweet methane is injected into the national grid, while ethane is transferred as essential feedstock to petrochemical plants. Propane and butane are exported as premium LPG, and gas condensate is delivered to international markets, playing a key role in expanding the company’s global commercial footprint.
With an annual nominal capacity of approximately 3.3 million tons of hydrocarbon products, Parsian Sepehr Refining makes a significant contribution to completing the gas value chain. The company is currently implementing major expansion projects to produce propylene and polypropylene, with the strategic aim of maximizing value addition and diversifying its petrochemical portfolio.
Strict adherence to HSE standards, the prevention of significant greenhouse-gas emissions, and the creation of hundreds of specialized jobs in the region reflect the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility. Today, Parsian Sepehr Refining stands as a successful model of efficiency and innovation in the gas-refining industry.
