Following alerts issued by the Meteorological Organization regarding an incoming precipitation system and the potential risks of floods and waterlogging, the Crisis Management and Emergency Response Committee of Parsian Sepehr Gas Refinery convened an urgent meeting. The primary objective was to enhance preparedness, prevention, and control measures against potential adverse weather conditions.

According to the Public Relations Department, the session was attended by members of the Crisis Management and Passive Defense committees. The meeting focused on comprehensive planning to manage conditions before, during, and after the forecast rainfall. Key discussions centered on analyzing the latest weather maps, assessing environmental risks, and devising operational solutions to safeguard human resources and ensure the continuity of safe production.

Based on the committee’s deliberations, the following resolutions and protocols have been approved for immediate implementation:

1. Preventive and Operational Measures:

  • Precise monitoring and inspection of vulnerable and flood-prone points across the facility, strictly adhering to specialized unit checklists.
  • Temporary suspension of all high-risk activities and non-essential outdoor operations.
  • Full standby status for heavy machinery and logistical equipment, ensuring the functionality of water drainage pumps.
  • Provision and storage of adequate fuel reserves for emergency scenarios.

2. Human Resources and Traffic Management:

  • Reorganization of staff attendance (including shift and day workers) and revision of commute schedules.
  • Deployment of advance teams to monitor the condition of access roads from neighboring towns and report on road safety prior to the departure of staff transport services.
  • Strict prohibition of personal vehicle usage within the refinery vicinity and approach routes.
  • Reduction of non-essential personnel presence and suspension of project contractor activities until conditions normalize.
  • Cancellation of all scheduled visits and prohibition of guest reception during the critical period.

3. Emergency Response and Support Readiness:

  • 24/7 presence of senior managers and relevant authorities on-site for immediate decision-making.
  • Full readiness of facilities and maintenance teams to provide technical support across all shifts, particularly during night shifts.
  • Equipping operational teams with necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for inclement weather (including raincoats, boots, flashlights, etc.).
  • Contingency planning for logistical support (food and welfare) to accommodate staff in the event of road blockages.

4. Communication:

  • Dissemination of SMS alerts and safety instructions to all employees to ensure full situational awareness.
